For another Ahmad shah or Khushal Khan we still wish for
But men like them don't exist among Pashtuns anymore
Bold men of action is what our Pashtun ancestors used to be
Brave warriors who lived and died fighting to be free
We have lost that warrior hero that used to live inside us all
we do NOTHING as deeper and deeper into despair we fall
I ask you all my dear people what good does this just wishing do?
If you really want hope and change then it's all up to you
Yet today what do we Pashtuns do but sit here and foolishly wait
Wishing another hero comes to save us before it's too late
