"Freedom fighter"

As Imran searches through his backpack for his cigarette lighter
he wonders if he'll be remembered as terrorist or as freedom fighter

That Sunday morning it rained and the ground he sits on is damp
Imran looks around at all the faces gathered at the training camp

Each and everyone has a sad story of what led them to be here
Now it's thier goal to give thier enemies thier fair taste of fear

Thier innocence was lost and now thier eyes are burning with fire
Revenge is coursing though thier veins and is thier every desire

That God keeps Imran safe, I pray every single night and day
For me he is a freedom fighter, despite what others might say


* One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. I don't agree with the taliban ideoology but I can understand the hopelessness that leads young men to join them and other militant groups. Until they are given some other hope how can we blame them. Our people need direction and a common leader. A leader who will take us out of the dark ages and into our rightful place in the modern world.
