Heena was running, chasing a butterfly that she wanted to hold
When suddenly beneath her tiny feet she feels a mine explode
In an instant her whole world has changed never to be the same
Little Heena barely has the strength to call out her mother's name
Her dear mother is horrified to see her baby girl footless laying there
That fate could be so cruel to someone so young doesn't seem fair
They take Heena to the nearest hospital but her foot is forever lost
They will do whatever they can for their baby girl no matter the cost
Heena is a fighter, despite the odds she makes it through the night
When she wakes up she says "Mor jaan everything will be all right"
Her mom has tears in her eyes knowing the hardship Heena will bare
For strength and courage for her and her baby girl she says a prayer
Her father feels so helpless because there is nothing that he can do
That there were landmines in those lovely fields none of them knew
When suddenly beneath her tiny feet she feels a mine explode
In an instant her whole world has changed never to be the same
Little Heena barely has the strength to call out her mother's name
Her dear mother is horrified to see her baby girl footless laying there
That fate could be so cruel to someone so young doesn't seem fair
