This word is like a myth to Pashtuns
We've all read about it in our history
and the poems of Khushal Khan Baba
But as I look at our pitiful state it seems
those stories were only fanciful dreams
I have yet to see it my very own lifetime
nor did my parents but they tell me tales
of legends of strong kings ang great warriors
about Pashtun men so noble and so brave
ready for Pashtunwali to go to thier grave
Where is our Ahmad Shah Durrani?
where is this generations great leader?
we are like lost sheep in need of a shepard
separated we all will surely lose this fight
for our very survival we must unite!
