"Cheap"

The whole world has gone mad
no where is peace to be found
peace is now the stuff of fairy tales
not a single soul has been left untouched
by the wicked wounds of war
everyone now knows someone
someone senselessly slaughtered
by this murderous madness
this murderous mayhem called war
where the innocent suffer and die
as our so called "civilizations" clash
on this bloody battlefield
in the pretend pursuit of peace
"civilization" is not so civilized
why would they even bother
with the crazy notion of peace
when war is so profitable
and human life is so cheap



* The USA gives $2,000 in compensation for Afghan civilians they "accidentally" kill. Would $2,000 be enough, would any amount be enough to replace your mother, father, brother , sister or friend? :(
